About Me

I was self-taught in web design before going to college to major in it in 2011 by making fansites of my favorite characters, which are still up today! I've freelanced for UI and logos since May 2015 after I graduated. Furthermore, I've also participated in game jams, created headers and banners for Kickstarter campaigns. Please feel free to contact me for any inquiries and quotes!

Wireframes are not mandatory but giving a rough idea of what you want through visuals is highly preferred so I can make what you want.
You're allowed to request for wireframes, but for visual novels, it's easy for me to do it without them since I usually start with the Textbox or Settings to get the overall idea before going forward.Depending on how you are paying me, I will be providing the menus/screens to you for approval. You are free to have up to 3 changes so long as they do not go over 3 free changes else I will charge additional fees for changes.

Terms of Service

General

  1. You must credit me either by mentioning my name “Camille” or, preferably, a link to my portfolio (https://camillearana.carrd.co). No exceptions.

  2. I’m allowed to decline a commission for any reason.

  3. You agree that I am allowed to showcase the work in my portfolios across the web.

  4. Kickstarter assets will only be uploaded to my portfolio when your Kickstarter goes live. Please let me know when it does so I can also advertise it on my Tumblr!

  5. If you wish for your site/interface/game to be a secret, that is fine since I will not say what it is (if any logo, I will take it off) so that others will not know. My watermark can also be put on it if you wish.

  6. Before I start, I must receive payment of half of the total amount due. If you rather pay in full, that is fine.

  7. Refunds will only be given when I cannot finish the work.

  8. By paying half up front, you are promising that you will be paying the rest when I am done. You understand that if you do not have the money, that you must contact me about it and set up a payment plan. Running away with my work and/or dragging out the payment will not be tolerated.

  9. Clients Who Pay in Half: All progress is shown with my watermark and you will not get the final assets until I am paid.

  10. Clients Who Pay in Full: You will be sent the actual files via email with each progress.

  11. Total cost is discussed before agreement. Any additional purchases are allowed but understand that it will add up. Make sure you have the funds please.

How I Work

  1. Once the details are figured out, I will confirm on what you ordered so that it will be accurate.

  2. Email is my preferred method to contact me since Discord is for personal or quick use (game jams as an example).

  3. Feedback is encouraged during the rough stage for logos while in GUI it can be through any stage.

  4. Feedback from the team will be accepted, however, too many changes will resort in an additional charge fee after 4 free ones are used. (This doesn't count for projects I volunteered on.)

  5. Revisions will not be charged until it becomes the 4th one on an asset. For example, the main menu needs another change on the third try, so the fee will need to be paid for the next ones after that.

  6. The fee is $20 USD each time for additional charges after the first 3 are up. This will be taken up front.

  7. Google Drive will be used to upload files unless the client prefers another way. Final PSDs will be provided in these along with any fonts required.

  8. Final ones are approved while WIP will only be shown as screenshots.

  9. If any revisions are needed after the final stages, charges may vary:

9a.) No revisions made and up to 2 revisions = no charge.
9b.) 3 revisions beforehand were made = $18 USD each afterward
9c.) Rare case scenario when the work needs a full redo:
c1.) Logos: $45-$75 USD, depending on how complex.
c2.) GUI: $40-45 USD, depending on how complex.

Paper scroll look was the main look while using the shape and pen tool for the shape I wanted. Added color, texture, shadows, and finally wear and tears. The font types used were to fit the time period. The logo took colors from the Prince's palette and had a heart and a crown. The crown is black instead of yellow for symbolism while the heart shape is the same color as the word "Heart" is hugging it with the loops premade in the font choice.

I did not create any of the character and background art.

I always wanted to design a dark notebook. Used one of my real notebooks as a guide. Colors were added to show that something changed when hovered or clicked.Since the main character, Delphine, takes notes this really ties in well by setting the story from the start.Using handwriting text from Fontsquirrel and choosing colors from Delphine and Dei, a romantic love interest, it was a minimal design that still gives an unsettling feeling. The logo is immediate unsettling, with the glitched dolphin vector and matching font for the game's title. This shows that everything is not what they seem.

I did not create any of the character and background art.

This was my first time that I made custom made outlined icons.Truly had a blast making them, the Settings icon being my favorite since I used a rainbow around the circle part of the cog!

Goal: Design an extravagant interface that showcases the riches of royalty with the elegance of a rose.In visual novels, choices matter for the majority of the game, so I designed those as well tying them to the textbox and the main menu. The rose and mask were the logo were made with the pen tool while I mixed four different fonts together for the title of the game.

*I did not create any of the character and background art.

Based off of a track that was kept open in Japan for one schoolgirl.Kept it minimal with this since the focus was entirely on the artwork. Turns out, that's what the Project Manager wanted as well.I looked at other logos that were minimal yet still had that impact. They also wanted Japanese characters so I had to find one that matched the font I chose in English as close as possible. The colors of the logo keeps with the same theme, tying into the setting and atmosphere of the game with a blue-purple shifting into gray, like a train's puff of smoke. The continue icon was my favorite, the programmer animated it since it gave her the idea to do so (I already drew the puff of smoke), so she used what I gave. The gif is provided below on the second image.

A fantasy visual novel, I studied design and typography of books in the Middle Ages to showcase the setting and stuck to the colors chosen in the logo.Researched that the first books were made had gothic lettering and borders around the edges of the pages. I implemented this into the UI.Designed a scroll paper to act as the pointer for the sliders for the user to click and drag to their desired setting.
